Bells and Chimes

Bell Choir

The 10 member Columbia Handbell Choir is an active group in our church family.  Besides enhancing regular and special church services in our own church, they are invited to play at other churches, nursing homes, the local mall and community events.  Every other year, after raising money, they attend a handbell conference for all of New England.  At the conference the members take classes and perform in a concert with hundreds of other handbell ringers.  The conferences are always inspiring and renew our energy.

The choir uses 4 octaves of Schulmerich handbells and 3 octaves of hand chimes.  Every bell was a memorial gift to the church which has added much to our services.

Chime Choir

The hand chimes are also used by a multigenerational chime choir.  The chime choir is less of a commitment and plays simpler music.  All that is necessary to play is a love of music.
